What To Expect From A Berkey Light Water Filter

The Berkey company makes a variety of different water filtration systems for different needs. The Berkey Light water filter is a light, portable unit ideal for emergency use as well as use out of doors. This filtration system gives you the same water quality as other stainless steel filtration systems you may have seen, only at a more affordable cost. You get a lifetime warranty on container replacement if you are a registered customer. And, you can choose from one of three free items. They are as follows: two Berkey water bottles, a Berkey PF-2 Fluoride Filter or a Berkey Shower Filter. You also get two Black Berkey filter elements, which help to reduce mercury, lead, aluminum and other contaminates. This entire filtration system can be shipped to you free via UPS Ground if you are in the lower 48 states.

This filter is durable, see through and made of food grade housing crafted from copolyester. The filters have a long life, each one can handle 3000 gallons which means this system can handle 6000 gallons. The design of the filter allows gravity to do its job, there is no need for electrical power or water pressure from any source. There is a storage chamber below that holds 2 ½ gallons of water. This filtration system can be put on any flat surface thanks to its raised base. On a daily basis, this unit can put out 24 gallons of filtered water in a 24 hour period. And, the entire system is BPA free for safety.

You can purchase an LED lighted base for your Berkey Light water filter for only $79 more, while the system itself costs around $209. And don't forget, you get your choice of the designated free items. The LED light base can help you see when the sun goes down and is a convenient add-on to have. While you may want to take a look at the other Berkey filtration systems for larger groups, the Light model is great for small groups and families who either have an emergency need for purified water or who are perhaps on a camping excursion and need to purify water.
